Pleasantview Edmonton Small MapPleasantview is a south side Edmonton neighbourhood with the majority of properties built in the 1960s, but also a large number of homes built in the 1950s and 1970s. There is a very good mix of low- and high-rise apartments, townhouses, duplexes and just over 40% houses. Pleasantview is about half and half renters and owners. The only school in the area is Mount Pleasant School which is an elementary. Pleasantview is separated into east and west areas by the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Pleasantview used to be called Martin Estate, and you may see that name used occasionally, but it hasn’t been known as Martin Estate since the 1950s.
