Summerside is a large south side neighbourhood in Edmonton that is located south of the Anthony Henday freeway. A perk of living in the neighbourhood which is paid for with HOA fees is Lake Summerside – a man-made lake that features fishing and boating in the summer as well as skating in the winter. All of Summerside was built after 2001, so it is considered a new neighbourhood relative to the rest of Edmonton. There is a majority of houses in Summerside, but there are also some duplexes, townhouses and lowrise apartments. Most of Summerside is owner occupied units, but that may change as the neighbourhood ages – it’s such a new neighbourhood still.
